Go go ebay or become a Korean.
But seriously, just check out the farming section. Super may be exaggerating a little bit, but he's not far off.

not so sure why everyone thinks its soooo hard to make mad money.
I have a full time job, part time school, run a website and still find time to chill with friends and play gw.
Its so easy to get started to make mad money.
go do 2 hard mode doa runs, this should take 2-2.5 hours or less per run (with 2 runs and a little gem trading you can get 10-30 gem sets very easy depending on how you trade them) last weekend I made 400k from 30 gemsets and a few extra marg gems I make this much every time I do hm quad runs with a little bit of trading 1 marg for 3 stgyn and such.
Then you take that 400k buy some ectos and start to power trade. and in no time you have more money then you know what to do with.
or if you hate power trading just do some more doa runs.
This does not take all day nor take your entire life.
It all changes on how you play the game. It all depends on your version of fun to.
I see alot of people who like to do nothing but make new chars and do missions and quests over and over this is fine but you will not make alot of money.
If money is something you seek but refuse to do what is needed to make the money then you have no right to cry about it.
If you are still wondering why people have so much money.
(if you do not want titles, armor, weapons, and any other item, GOLD STARTS TO STOCK PILE, alot of us have had the game for 2-3 years so take that into account when you wonder how people get so rich)
Doing HM doa runs playing for 4-5 hours a day for 3-4 days i can make 1 mil.
Even if you hate the doa do uw or fow (learn the 30min hm uw run) you will not make as much money but you will still get enough.

I love how some people actualy believe these "super-rich" people actually farmed/powertraded...
It's quite easy to figure out, problem is you can't proove it. It's like fraude in real life. EVERY TIME someone gets caught, the government "brags" that they caught another "cheater". You have NO clue however how many people still are commiting fraude...
I'm pretty sure for every 10 players banned in case duping/exploiting, there was 1 player who didn't get banned, and just kept his Ecto's/Armbraces on a alt for a year orso...
It doesn't personally affect me, but I find it sad people getting banned for "botting" let's say Kurzick title, when these dupers can walk away with a far worse/game affecting offend.

powertrading
The key to thousands of ectos is powertrading. Buy low sell high. The first stack of ectos is the hardest. After that you can invest in higher end items for resell.
You gotta be in the right place at the right time also. So, instead of spending hours in a dungeon farming, you spend hours and hours in kamadan dis1 buying and selling. Just like PVP and PVE, Powertrading is another part of Guild Wars. Maybe there should be a title for powertrading. lol

Aside from Bacon, Malice, Herb, and a very select group...
hi, my name is Swagvault.
I don't have the screenie, but Dr. Evove (alliance member) asked this monk in an outpost how much his FoW cost. The response? "$80"
You can lambast me for pulling the 'ebay' card, but it's so rampant it's ridiculous.

Back in the day with Tyria only, fellblade, stormbows, and chaos axes were 100k + ectos. Sold quite a few that way but now I'm poor again with armor buying and donating.

You've proven time and time again to be something of a moron. Can you enlighten us on what the hell you're saying?
Herb, Malice, and Bacon are some of the wealthiest players in this game ever, with unconditionals in their collective possession.
You don't get 4000 ectos from farming UW to death, you get it from serious high-end trading or purchasing gold.

Ehm, Malice once said he bought a panda for 500 ectos and sold it for 1500 + xx arms ( not too sure about the numbers, but w/e hope you get the points ), this alone made him a couple of thousands of ectos richer, so stop accusing ppl of duping/ebaying/whatever if you dont know shit.
There are several ppl that have a big weapon collection worth several millions, if they need money they sell one weapon for lets say, a stack of ectos, this stack of ectos was farmed by someone who felt like farming it, and in this way there are several people who once bought lots of rare high end items, and selling them now, in times that people have more money, as the game already exists longer.
The longer the game lasts, the more ectos will be farmed, the more they will end up in someones xunlai chest as currency.

You actually believe that those tards have 10000 ectos?
They are obviously bullshitting, and if they aren't , then they are pretty dumb as hell because that amount of ecto would go for a LOT of real life cash.

Crystaline swords, fellblades, serpent axes, dwarven axes, mursaat bow/hammer, magmas shields, dual reduction shields, all those were high end back then, so enough items to invest cash/ectos in...
Hell, there was a time where sup absorbs and sup vigors were 50k +, and ppl had 10 of those, so big deal... AND since then prices have consistently gone ( are going ) up as there was (is) increasingly more money in the game....

How do people get that much in-game cash?
1. They buy it with real world cash.
2. They traded with the dupers before the dupers were banned, and were allowed to keep the huge stacks of duped armbraces they received.
3. They scammed newbies... I mean they "powertraded."

doesnt matter...I play the game to play the game...standing around power trading is NOT what the game was about----so if someone has all that money I doubt they have been doing much besides selling crapp for sometime (or the dupe conspiracy sounds plausible too)....

And I bought an island guardian for 10k and sold for 1000 armbraces.
I dont wanna accuse anyone, but you can say whatever you want. This applies to statements like above and to x thousands of ecto bids as well.

It's also luck too. I remember I was poor and I was chest running with my warrior in hell's (this was before factions came out) and I nailed a sephis axe with 15^50 req 10 that I sold for 800k (this was when they were super rare). It was like I hit the guild wars lotto, man was I excited.
